P.S. – As a Twist and Shout 2009 update, I wanted to share my favorite balloon sculpture that I saw at the event. This is not my sculpture, but it is a great example of where balloon art is going. Hope you enjoy!

There are many things that I enjoy about being a balloon artist. Whether it’s the smiles on children’s faces or the creative process my mind rolls through as I twist, mold, and shape balloons into works of art; this is definitely a job I will enjoy keeping for a long time.

One of the other benefits of being an international balloon artist is that I get to travel and see the world doing what I love.

Not too long ago I was in Okinawa, Japan where I was entertaining troops at the Kadena Air Force Base for their October festivals. A month before that, I was in Houston, TX where I was training balloon artists and sending them into restaurants to fold and twist balloons.

Today I leave for Twist and Shout 2009 in Los Angeles, California. In LA, I’ll be meeting with over 300 of the top balloon twisters in the world for the sole purpose of educating myself in the art and medium of balloons.

Since I am going to be unable to answer my phone and check my emails on a regular basis over the rest of the week and the weekend, I wanted to fill you in on a few things I will be working on in California

-Creating new and exciting party packages for your next Birthday Party

-Learning new shapes that I can master and start creating at different events

-Networking with other artists worldwide so that I may continue to grow for you

That being said, I hope to be able to report great things when I get back from the balloon convention on Monday.

For those that visit on a regular basis to Cody’s Roadhouse, I will not be there this Monday. Instead, The Amazing Kenny will be there twisting balloons and otherwise performing with his typical amazing fashion. If you have not already seen him perform, I suggest you go out and visit him this Monday between 6pm-8pm.
